A space where learning lives

Introducing the next revolution in education – EdCampus™ Twin Cities– a state-of-the-art, boundary-breaking, collaboration-building destination for learning and innovation.

EdCampus™ combines students from diverse institutions, backgrounds and disciplines into one dynamic campus – outfitted with the best available technology, customizable space and student-centric services.

With the goal of advancing access, choice and diversity in education, EdCampus mitigates the costly and lengthy process that institutions face when building their own facilities by making premium space available on-demand.

A learning tree with interchangeable branches

An iconic space of ever-changing dimensions, EdCampus will offer superior adaptability and technology. EdCampus’ walls, ceiling, floors and interior architecture will all be moveable, allowing tenants to customize learning environments for their unique needs.

EdCampus™ will also offer the most advanced technology available today and the capacity to support the technology of the future.

EdCampus™ will feature learning environments that foster creativity, ingenuity, collaboration and academic advancement, in new and unexpected ways.

The EdCampus™ building
The EdCampus™ building design seeks to create a collaborative learning environment by using a Great Hall to connect multiple classroom wings. The aesthetic spirit of the building provides a modern interpretation of classic building elements such as gabled roofs, colonnades, and public plazas. The design evokes a sense of community connectivity, stability, and permanence, while at the same time reaching towards the future by contributing to the long-term sustainability of society with visible green technology.

The public accessible performance spaces are nestled in courtyards and plazas and are given their strong sense of place by unique building elements. The Sundial Tower in the main plaza will provide an iconic marker for the Chaska Green and metaphorically anchor EdCampus™ to the community.

The campus that collaboration built

A team of the nation’s most talented consultants and building professionals have come together to create the ultimate model of sustainability and flexible design.

The EdCampus™ sponsorship team is a diverse alliance of industry leaders united by the goal to advance educational progress and to transcend traditional building obstacles. The final design and development team will exceed 100 market-leading firms and individuals, all selected for their commitment to sustainability and innovation.

EdCampus™ Sponsors have leveraged their combined expertise and resources to break through the current limitations of sustainable design standards. EdCampus™ is seeking platinum LEED Certification, the highest available ranking from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The EdCampus™ design team hopes to reduce 90 percent of onsite water use and to generate 80 percent of its own energy through renewable sources like wind, solar and biomass. Design collaboratives among our Sponsors are at work to further advance building technologies, green space design, new construction technologies and the use of alternative energy sources..
